A box truck driver was trapped in his truck Thursday morning after taking down a utility pole and wires in Waltham, Massachusetts. The incident happened just after 10 a.m. on Cushing Street near St.

A box truck driver was trapped in his truck Thursday morning after taking down a utility pole and wires in Waltham, Massachusetts.

The incident happened just after 10 a.m. on Cushing Street near St. Charles Borromeo Church. Waltham Fire said the truck snagged the wires, snapping the pole in half.

From Sky5, a white box truck could be seen on the side of the roadway against a pole and transformer with several wires draped across the box.

The uninjured driver remained in the truck's cab until Eversource could de-energize the lines and safely remove them.
